Maggie and I were suppose to be in Canada (right now) as my cousin Hilary was married on Saturday. Family that we have not seen in 7 years or more all congregated for the blessed occasion. Contrary to the laws of Canada (which allows infants under the age of 3 years to enter Canada w/o a passport whether traveling by land, air or sea) Northwest Airlines (boooooooooooooooo!) would not allow the babies to board the plane without a passport. Neither would they re-route us to Buffalo so that we could drive across the border without charging us the difference ($900+). So after talking to everyone possible (all Managers just happened to be in a very important meeting) in MSP and following up with their Customer Care, who told us if we provided proper documentation within 7 days they would allow us to keep the same origin and destination, gee THANKS! The only problem is that it takes 3 weeks to obtain a passport unless we were willing to drive to Chicago and pay the priority fee and drive back to MSP with the documents! BTW: When Christy went to the post office to apply for a passport for Annalea she was told that her infant did not need a passport as she was too young! Needless to say, NWA will be receiving complaint letters until we are compensated.
P.S. Did I mention that these were non-refundable tickets!!!!!!!
This is us (you can barely see Anna in the bottom left) at the airport with all of our s**t.

I did enjoy the weekend with my sister and her youngest as they stayed at our place for a couple of days. The little girls just loved playing together and would crack each other up! It was fun to watch.

On the occasion of traveling to the freezing tundra of Canada (just kidding!) Maggie made me purchase some new warm things...

There are little mitts that match that hat! A-dorable!!
